Little Singham is an Indiananimatedtelevision series produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez, in collaboration with Discovery Kids and Reliance Animation (a Reliance Entertainment Company). It premiered on 25 May 2018 on Discovery kids, following the revamp of the channel. It showcases the life of Singham as a little boy, who fights criminals, monsters, and dangerous mutants to save his city.^[1][2]

The show is based on the film Singham and is directed by Vikram Veturi. Reliance Entertainment commissioned Shekhar Veturi to create and develop the series, who also wrote the pilot episode and provided plot summaries in the first season. The show has planned 156 episodes and 5 telefilms for the first season written by Sonam Shekhawat, Nidhi Anand, Angelene Kaur and Yash Thakur. The Little Singham IP met with roaring success immediately after launch, and propelled TRP ratings of the channel by over 400%, taking Discovery Kids into the Top 5 league of Kids Entertainment in India within a couple of weeks of launch.^[3][4][5]

Characters[edit]

• Little Singham: the protector of Mirchi Nagar and wears a khaki police uniform and black sunglasses. He saves the people from various threats in Mirchi Nagar & uses Panja Attack. His catchphrases are 'Aata Maaji Satakli!' , the same catchphrase that the original Singham and says, and 'Police ki vardi sher ka dum, naam hai mera - 'Little singham' In the end of every episode, he says many shayaris of how he had saved the city from evil villains and hawaldar Karate often cheers at him.

• Chikki: the pet & assistant of Little Singham. His favourite fruit is banana. He wears a green shirt with a banana's picture on it.

• Ajay: A brave boy and he is Little Singham he wears a school uniform A white T-SHIRT Kavya & Hawaldar Karate know he is Little Singham

• Lattu: the self-announced assistant of Little Singham. A food lover, he loves to eat Dhokla and Khakhra. He wears a brown-red T-shirt and yellow shorts and has short black hair.

• Babli : a brainy and is the daughter of Professor Avishkar. She laughs loudly when she thinks and sees something is funny often and says 'so funny' and 'not so funny'. She wears glasses and a yellow and blue frock.

• Commissioner Faulad Singh: a policeman and wears a turban. His senior scientist is Professor Avishkar & junior scientist is Professor Romeo.

• Khatarnak Romeo: a junior scientist of Faulad Singh & creates mutants. He is one of the villains of Little Singham.

• Professor Avishkar : a senior scientist of Faulad Singh & creates gadgets for Little Singham, Babli, Chikki & Lattu when problems are higher. His catchphrase is 'Newton ki Chutney'.

• Montu: a fat boy, a rival of Arindam (Ajay Singham), Lattu, and Marina.

• Inspector Kavya: is police inspector of Mirchi Nagar, along with Little Singham. Her best friend is Hawaldar Karate but gets mad when Karate does something bad and always says Karate to be careful. Her catchphrase is 'Dungi Ek Ghoomake'.

• Hawaldar Karate : is a fat policeman and best friend of Kavya (Sahib). He likes to eat bhelpuri. His catchphrase is 'Latthi Maarke'.

• Mantri ji (Prime Minister): is the prime minister of Mirchi Nagar and wears glasses, blue shoes, light blue shirt and pajamas. He has grey hair and often tells English words while speaking Hindi. In despair, he often says 'Meri Naak Katt Gayi!' as to know that he would be embarrassed when something happens wrong like a villain would destroy the city and Ajay Singham wouldn't be able to save it.
