As the name suggests, it's a fully licensed offering, which includes all the real drivers and courses from the period as well as some nice extra options. There's a few modes to try out here, including the option to take driving lessons if you're new to NASCAR cars and a simulation mode for the players who like their action realistic, and an arcade mode if you just want to race hard and fast but without worrying too much about the details. You can tweak your car to get it just the way you want by playing around with it in the garage, with a staggering amount of options available here, making this a good choice for petrol heads. There are twenty-three real world courses to race around as well as some nice slick presentation to round the whole thing out. For anyone looking for a great NASCAR experience, this is probably the one to go for. It certainly looks the part, with some flashy visuals which really create a strong atmosphere and make you feel like you're taking part in the real thing, and with sound to match. The choice of modes is a nice touch so you can play how you like, while the courses are all recreated in loving detail and which are pretty exciting to race around. All in all, as far as NASCAR goes, this is the one to beat.
